inspired by nature: collapsible bike helmet

With the Melbourne Bike Share recently launching the new vending machine helmets in mind, i came across this collapsible helmet which is inspired by the shell of an armadillo. Designed by Patrice Mouille it won OutDoor Industry Award in the student category (organized by IF Award) this year.

I dont know, it kind of looks a bit flimsy to me? Great idea though, love the inspiration.
